Ingest & map

Bring the file in
Paste or upload the cedant's CSV/Excel and pick the treaty (reinsurer) or programme (broker) it belongs to.
Map the columns
Map the file's headers to the canonical schema. Domain aliases auto-map most; “Suggest with AI”proposes the rest; save the mapping per cedant to reuse it every period.
Clear exceptions
Rows that fail validation land in an exception queue — posting is blocked until every row is clean, so bad data never silently imports.

Reconcile & post (reinsurer)

iqava recomputes the expectedceded premium/commission from the treaty terms (surplus split, commission %) and flags variances against the cedant's submitted figures — catching cedant errors before they hit the books. Posting turns clean lines into technical-accounting movements → the one ledger.

Panel allocation (reinsurance broker)

Link a bordereaux to a programme and it splits the totals — premium, commission and claims — across the reinsurer panel by written line, with the net dueper reinsurer. One cedant submission becomes each reinsurer's exact share.

Best practice

Invest in the saved mapping once per cedant format; from then on ingest is paste → post. Keep the exception queue at zero before posting.
