Every piece of paperwork the platform produces flows through one module — generated from structured data, issued with a lifecycle, versioned and audited.
Best use case
Producing the real artefacts — debit notes, policy schedules, broking slips, cover notes, closing statements, bordereaux — as records with a reference, status and history, not loose files.
Generate
Documents generate from a record's structured data (a placement's cover terms, a policy's schedule, a programme's panel) or from a token template with {field} replacement. Each gets a reference and is linked back to the record it came from.
Issue, version & store
A document moves draft → issued → void, versioned and on an immutable audit trail. Files live in object storage (S3 / Cloudflare R2), and can be attached to claims, policies and other records. The Word/Excel/Outlook add-ins check documents in and out of the same library.
Best practice
Generate from the record rather than typing a document — the figures stay consistent with the source and reprint correctly if terms change.
